Akaysha Energy is proud to have supported the recent restumping works at the Kumbia & District Memorial School of Arts Hall.

Over the weekend, the Kumbia community gathered for a combined service and activities at the Hall Precinct, with around 1,000 people attending throughout the day. The Navy Chaplain rededicated the Hall, marking an important milestone in its history and future.

The restumping was delivered through the Buy A Stump Appeal, which saw 236 stumps replaced. To date, approximately $178,000 has been raised towards the $200,000 target. Project Officers Bill and Sandra Steffensen, who led the initiative, unveiled the donor board during the event. The board is being finalised and will be permanently displayed once complete.

While the stumps are now in place, further works are underway to restore the Hall following the structural upgrades. These include new guttering, front steps and side ramp, plumbing repairs, and painting, all guided by the Council building inspector.

Akaysha Energy congratulates the Kumbia Hall Committee and local community for their efforts in preserving this important gathering place, and we are honoured to contribute to a project that will benefit generations to come.
