Connecting with Community: Kilnacroft Creek BESS Community Drop-In at Jindera

On Saturday 26th July, the Akaysha Energy team hosted a community drop-in session at the Jindera Community Hub to share early plans and answer questions about the proposed Kilnacroft Creek Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). While the attendance was small, the conversations we had were rich, thoughtful, and a meaningful step in our commitment to transparency and listening.

Set next to the future Glenellen Solar Farm and adjacent to the Jindera Substation, the Kilnacroft Creek BESS is being designed to store up to 500MW/2000MWh of clean energy. It’s a big project with even bigger potential benefits: from supporting energy reliability in NSW to creating local construction jobs and delivering community benefit programs.

Whether or not you were able to attend, we’d love to connect. If you have questions, ideas, or just want to learn more about what a BESS really is and what it means for the region, we welcome a phone call or online chat at a time that suits you.

Let’s keep the conversation going, we’re just getting started.
